This INSPIRING event builds our movement for 2017 and beyond. Focus will be on regional planning, national and local messaging, and the road map of our work together in advancing the bicycling movement. Networking opportunities, keynote addresses from top government officials, workshops highlighting innovative advocacy ideas, and an organized Lobby Day to bring our pro-bicycling message to our elected officials on Capitol Hill - experience it all during our few days together!
This year’s event will be held March 6-9, 2017 at the Renaissance Hotel in Downtown DC, located at 999 Ninth St. NW Washington, DC 20001.
The World Bank is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. They are not a bank in the ordinary sense but exist as a unique partnership to reduce poverty and support development. They have more than 10,000 employees in more than 120 offices worldwide. The organization is a Silver level BFB.
The colossal World Bank building accommodates hundreds of bikes, and offers workstands, tools, and locker rooms for their abundance of bike commuters. Walk through the World Bank’s picturesque atrium to visit the (bike) Commuter Services’ desk and experience one of the most beautiful working places in the city. Participants will have the opportunity to talk with bike group members and a representative of The World Bank’s Corporate Responsibility Program.
