The National Bike Summit is the premier bike advocacy event of the year for bike advocates and professionals!

WITH NEW LEADERSHIP IN THE OVAL OFFICE, we need your voice FOR BIKES on Capitol Hill!  Congress will be in session to hear your voice.

This INSPIRING event builds our movement for 2017 and beyond. Focus will be on regional planning, national and local messaging, and the road map of our work together in advancing the bicycling movement. Networking opportunities, keynote addresses from top government officials, workshops highlighting innovative advocacy ideas, and an organized Lobby Day to bring our pro-bicycling message to our elected officials on Capitol Hill - experience it all during our few days together!

This year’s event will be held March 6-9, 2017 at the Renaissance Hotel in Downtown DC, located at 999 Ninth St. NW Washington, DC 20001.

BREAKOUT: Youth Bike Education

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Bike New York is reaching the next generation of New York City cyclists through it’s after school and summer youth programs. The program is designed so that kids have repeated and ongoing opportunities to develop their cycling skills and go for rides.   You'll also hear about some of the major challenges of implementing the program along with Bike New York's experiments with other program models.

The Specialized Foundation uses cycling as a tool for children to achieve academic, health and social success. Through investments in primary scientific medical research and school-based cycling programs, their mission is to increase accessibility to cycling to aid youth in personal development and education.  Their "Riding for Focus (R4F)" program is designed to provide middle schools with everything they need to create a lasting, sustainable cycling program and to get their students riding.
